Have you ever wondered what goes on inside a leaf? Leaves may look simple, but they are miniature powerhouses constantly working to convert sunlight into energy through a magical process called photosynthesis.

Meet Luma, the Leaf ๐ŸŒฑ

High in the canopy of a mango tree, a young leaf named Luma wakes up to her first day as a full-grown energy producer. The morning sun kisses her surface, and deep within her cells, something incredible begins.

Sunlight and Stomata ☀️๐ŸŒฌ️

Luma opens tiny pores on her underside stomata to let in carbon dioxide from the air. She also receives water from the tree’s roots. All she needs now is sunlight, which she captures with her chlorophyll pigment inside special organelles called chloroplasts.

                                          Stomata help Luma "breathe" in carbon dioxide.


Inside the Leaf: The Magic of Photosynthesis ๐Ÿงช

Inside her cells, a beautiful process begins:

๐ŸŒž Sunlight + ๐Ÿ’ง Water + ๐ŸŒฌ️ Carbon Dioxide → ๐Ÿฌ Glucose + ๐Ÿ’จ Oxygen

This process, called photosynthesis, creates sugar (glucose) to feed the plant and oxygen to support life on Earth. Without it, neither humans nor animals could survive.
